Hello, and welcome to Jiu-Jitsu On the Go. I have the profound privilege of being able to offer and share the gift of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. I am a stand that everyone in the world gets this Martial Art in their life. It is truly transformational and brings about a higher quality of life for everyone. Here is a little about me!
I began training Jiu-Jitsu in 1997, while stationed in Hawaii, under Grand Master Relson Gracie (ranked white-black) and was awarded my black belt in 2009. I met Master Caique Elias, as a blue belt, and would eventually seek tutelage under him when I became a second degree black belt. As a practitioner who was primarily exposed to Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, my game is simple and effective. After 22 years of training (11 years as a competitor, 9 years as a head instructor and academy owner), my teaching style is concept-based, this allows for the student to experience noticeable results immediately. My goal is to impact your game and help you on your journey.
I want to personally welcome you to this course, I'm super excited to share with you some things I learned through countless hours of practice over the last 22 years.
I started Jiu-Jitsu back in 1997 and I had never seen or experienced any form of fighting that was so effective and fun! I'm sure everyone here had a similar experience when you first stepped on the mat. For me it happened in the form of arm bars over and over... and over again!
What I learned that helped me the most, was to always fight for posture and make smaller more controlled movements. I call this, "Playing in the Opening and Fortified Movement".
Each lesson is filmed in a classroom environment, to make you feel as though you are in the class. I will walk you through one of my most effective arm bar defense systems in six separate modules.
Module 1 - Elusive Elbow
Module 2 - The Waiting Game
Module 3 - Shielding Arm
Module 4 - Latch and Hook
Module 5 - Watch the Grips
Module 6 - Perfect Pressure
If you put in the time to develop each skill outlined in this course I know you will get results! The only way to get good at Jiu-Jitsu is to stack up hours on the mat. I'm looking forward to being a part of your journey.

In this module we are going to develop your ability to protect the arm in danger by "shielding" it with your free arm. It is very important that you keep applying constant pressure. We are going to focus on developing three skills sets:
2. Downward Forward Pressure

In this module we are going to look at two grips used to lockdown the arm and immobilize your opponent. You must always keep that downward forward pressure to restrict movement and wear down your opponent. Our three focus points are going to be:
In this module we are going to develop awareness and management of your opponents grips. If you haven't seen my free grip course, "Grip Fighting 2.0" check it out as I review many helpful concepts and details to the grip fighting.
