Let's take a look at three chokes that immediately present themselves when taking back control. The short choke, modified gable grip and the rear naked choke.
If your opponent is doing a good job defending the chokes from the back, we can take one of the hands out of the mix with the crucifix.
If the opponent bridges in while in the crucifix we can setup the choke on the side they are bridging towards.
If the opponent is being strong with there grips we can use our knee to open a gap for our arm to go in. This arm goes behind your leg trapping the opponents arm in this modified seat belt grip.
