So you're in bottom side control and now your opponent has wrapped your head...what to do, what to do.
It's ok, take a breath. Control the head or shoulder (re-establish those grips) and frame out on your opponents hip to create the space for your escape.
Don't forget about your grips in bottom side control. Set the frame, look for the grips, work your way up the ladder and create the escape.
Whether starting in bottom side control or not, the grip game is all important.
Remember to keep your head on the mat when in bottom side control to increase the strength in your frame. Then utilize wrist control to allow your opponent to wear themselves out and move into position for you.
