I was really excited to put this series into the online lessons because this is one of my favorites, it was taught to me as the Rickson choke back in the late 90's. You might know it as the paper cutter or bread cutter choke. Regardless of what you call it this finish is so good and probably my best submissions.
When transitioning into the Rickson choke, keep the connection and do not allow the space or opportunity for your opponent to put up obstacles.
In this particular segment we are addressing the control and eliminating one of the opponents arms so that the Rickson choke can be easily applied.
Having trouble trapping the arm when setting up the Rickson choke? Lets use the sling technique and pull them apart.
