Here we focus on trapping the leg, framing the hip and controlling the arm when you are under mount. The grips may differ from Gi to No Gi but the frames remain the same.
Once we have established our frames and hip control in bottom mount we can begin to identify how our opponent is transitioning and look to interrupt those movements. This will set up our timing for elbow knee escape or trap roll.
To trap roll escape or elbow knee escape?..that is the question.
